I'm not sure how to handle this review. I love Kuhl pants and they have always served me well; in particular the Rydr Lean cut. In fact I have ordered several from Zappos and until my last order I have been very pleased. HOWEVER, my last order was unforgivable. These are not inexpensive pants and I was sent a pair that I found strange from the start. First, they were just sitting in the box with no bag and without any labels or tags at all (if you know these pants, they come with some rather thick tags). Secondly, there was a mark on the pants that could only be described as a stain. And last but certainly not least, half of the Kuhl logo on the rear pocket is completely worn off. In my opinion, one of two things happened: I was either sent a used pair of pants or I was sent a factory second. Either way, COMPLETELY UNEXCUSABLE on the part of Zappos. Full disclosure, I have not asked Zappos to remedy this situation as I'm not interested in them as an option any longer. I realize everyone makes mistakes at times but this seems too large a mistake on too many fronts to continue shopping through them when there are too many other viable options today. In closing, wonderful pants that I will continue to buy, just from someone other than Zappos.

Bought this a couple of months ago. Pros: Great fit, comfortable casual pants. Cons: Color fades very quickly and not in a good way. Very uneven fading and white streaks on first wash on gentle cycle. Go for the lighter colors or pass.

I love the pants! I have been wearing Kuhl pants for some time now casually, I bought these for work since they are a bit heavier. I am anxious to see how the hold up and clean. I am in construction and have hated working in jeans (carhart's) for years and decided I would pay the price to be comfortable at work. I have noticed the sizing is sometimes inconsistent, especially with the mant different style of pants Kuhl offers. Good reason to buy from Zappos rather then Kuhl or other companies, free no hassle returns and exchanges.

Great pants! The size was right on and I love the style. This is my third pair and I will continue to purchase this particular brand and style as long as Kuhl continues with the same quality. The material is not quite jean but has a very confirmable feel without being stiff. I can attest that they last, as my original pair is still going strong after three years of heavy wear. I highly recommend!

My husband loves Kuhl pants. After finding the Konfidant summer weight pants at REI (exclusive), I was looking for something that had a similar fit. He is tall (6' 3") and lean (180 lbs.). I asked Kuhl customer service for similar fit, but the ones they suggested were all just too baggy. This style (Rydr Lean) is perfect cut and a thick canvas like material that is great for winter. He now saves his nice jeans and wears these on weekends or casual Fridays. This style is perfect for someone who is on the leaner side and doesn't want skinny jeans but doesn't want baggy 'easy fit' dad jeans. Note: I scoured the internet for Kuhl pants and couldn't find the Rydr Lean Fit Jeans. According to Kuhl's web site, they re-branded the Rydr Lean fit "Please note: Hangtags on this style will say "Rydr Lean". The name has been changed to FREE RYDR. Thank you." So it sounds like if you like this cut, you should look for Free Rydr in the future, no more Rydr Lean. I love that Zappos often stocks the longer length since the 34" inseam isn't available everywhere. Note: some reviews suggested sizing down one in the waist since Kuhl waists run a tad large. He is a true 34x34, and the Kuhl Konfidant pants are a tad big in the waist, so when I first ordered the Rydr Lean Fit in 33 waist, it was just tight enough to be uncomfortable since the waist doesn't stretch over time, so instead I got the Rydr Lean Fit 34x34, and he prefers wearing the 34x34 with a belt.

Mine came fully wrapped in brand new packaging. I've never had any issue like others hear have said. I love Kuhl pants, Rydrs in particular. The Rydr Leans are just a little tighter than I'd like. I prefer fabric weight and the pocket reinforcement that the regular and lean Rydrs have. The Klassik cut ones are basically an entirely different style of pants. Rydrs would be perfect if they came in the regular/lean style with the klassik or relaxed fit. I'm mostly happy with these.

These pants are so comfortable that I can no longer wear my regular blue jeans. They are stylish enough that I wear them with a sport coat to work (that is in texas however). The fabric is very durable. The other styles are fabulous too...I have the Kontra Air, Revolver, and slak'r ...look at the "oz/yard" weight to see what thickness of fabric you prefer. I left off one star because they are very expensive. The Kontra Air are great for summer camping in texas and wearing in the summer ...light, durable, and v. breathable.

wonderful fit for a skinny guy but the snap (push-thru snap not a jean button) tends to pop loose if I squat or bend. Kuhl offered to fix (how???) but when I asked about the wear by the back corner pocket and rivet, the hole in the fabric from stress - not a damn word. They don't cover wear and tear --- AND I ONLY WORE THEM ABOUT 50 TIMES. Better off with a cheap pair of Dickies
